STEADY RHYTHM
Continue the inquiry in conversation
Life inquiry is something we already practise in everyday life, often without recognising it. Yet familiar assumptions, competing demands and established habits can make it difficult to examine certain situations more precisely.
A guided inquiry offers an opportunity to exercise these abilities more deliberatly.
Bring a real situation, decision, concern or question from your life. I will facilitate the conversation, helping you distinguish what is happening from the interpretations surrounding it, and examine what deserves your attention.
The intention is not for you to depend on my answers, but to become more capable of conducting your own inquiries.
What should I bring?
You do not need to prepare a polished question.
You may bring a decision you are considering, something that keeps returning to your attention, a situation at work or home, a relationship, a change you are contemplating, or simply something that feels difficult to place.
What happens during the inquiry?
We begin with what you are encountering.
We distinguish what is happening from the interpretations, assumptions and conclusions already forming around it.
We examine what deserves attention.
Through questions, observations and reflection, we explore what may need to be understood, reconsidered or addressed.
You practice conducting the inquiry yourself.
I facilitate the conversation and explain the practice where useful, so that you can continue exercising these abilities in everyday life. There is no obligation to book another session.
Life inquiry is an educational and reflective practice. It is not therapy, medical care, financial advice, career advice or a substitute for professional expertise where needed.
